SUMMER CAMP 2024!!!

(FOR STUDENTS ENTERING 5th - 12th GRADES*)

FRONTIER CAMP - GRAPELAND, TX | JULY 28 - AUGUST 3 | $500**

Salt & Light is partnering with some new friends in the Evangelical Covenant Church, for an opportunity for our teens (entering 5th - 12th grade) this summer!

This full week of camp is filled with fun activities, lessons about the camp theme, Bible studies, making friendships, and more! "CAMP 3000 - Camp of the Future" will be our theme for this year.

Isaiah was a prophet who was chosen by God to warn the nation of Judah about FUTURE disasters due to their sinfulness and indifference to God. Yet, Isaiah was also a prophet of hope, giving the people the vision of the coming Servant of God who would rescue them and lift them up.

Today, Isaiah calls us to repent of our sins, return to God, and he gives us an amazing hope for the FUTURE; one in which success is obedience to God, Jesus is our rescuer and lifts us up from our anxieties and distress, and a FUTURE of incredible hope and joy!

Come join us as we celebrate the amazing FUTURE God has prepared for those to follow him with all of their hearts!

  • If you’ve ever been to a summer “church camp,” you know what a special experience it is: a unique time for peer relationships, age-specific fun, and hearing about Jesus, faith, and mission from some different voices — all in a great environment that’s different from day-to-day life.

  • Salt & Light chose Frontier Camp because (among other reasons), it’s much more affordable than several other camps; it’s somewhat nearby; and we have some history with the camp and denomination. (Nicole Tatum grew up going to this camp, and first considered her role in ministry here; and Mike and Kim Baker served in the Evangelical Covenant Church before moving to Fort Worth.)

  • Frontier Camp costs $500/student, if your $50/deposit is paid by June 15.

Adult counselors attend for free; C.I.L.T. campers (entering 10th - 12th grade) pay $440. See info below.

**Salt & Light has some scholarship funding available, and we encourage households to partner and raise funds to send teens to camp. We don’t want a lack of funding to keep anyone from going — so let’s talk if you need help!

  • Midsouth Camp takes measures to ensure the safety of everyone at camp. We align with the American Camp Association; view Frontier Camp safety policies here.

  • Salt & Light does not belong to any denomination — which means, in part, that we get to learn and glean from the strengths and biblical spirituality of different groups. The ECC is “committed to helping people follow the Great Commandment and the Great Commission of Jesus Christ:

    - to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength
    - to love our neighbors as ourselves
    - to go into all nations to make disciples

We express our life in Christ through authentic biblical community, joyful worship and shared mission that welcomes people across gender, race, age, culture and class.”
